Space combat game Strike Suit Zero is set to soar into new dimensions with the announcement from developer Born Ready Games that it will support the Oculus Rift. This advanced 3D virtual reality headset will power a separate version of the game, offering players an immersive and exhilarating space combat experience like never before.
To join the Oculus-specific beta, backers of the Kickstarter campaign must contribute an additional $1 to their existing pledge of $15 or more, or pledge $16 for newcomers. This exclusive beta will launch early next year, catering primarily to those who have pre-ordered the Oculus dev kit, as the headset will not be commercially available at that time.
Born Ready Games enthused in a recent update, “Having experienced the Rift firsthand at PAX, we’re thrilled to bring Strike Suit Zero to this groundbreaking technology. Imagine piloting a spacecraft through a fully 3D cockpit, navigating vast expanses of space, and surveying your surroundings as if you were truly there. With the Oculus Rift, you’ll be able to look around freely, tracking enemies in a way that transcends traditional radar systems. This will revolutionize the core dogfighting experience.”
The Strike Suit Zero Kickstarter campaign continues to gain momentum, having already surpassed its initial $100,000 goal with over $130,719 pledged. There are still 9 days remaining until the campaign closes on November 17th, leaving ample opportunity for more supporters to join the journey.
