UPDATE: Uncharted: Fight for Fortune has surfaced as a casino card game for the PS Vita, according to a revelation by the Brazilian ratings board.
Keen-eyed gamers on NeoGAF noticed the classification and kindly translated it.
Sony remained tight-lipped when approached by Eurogamer, but Shuhei Yoshida, the worldwide studios boss, tweeted about the game, lending some credence to its existence.
ORIGINAL STORY: Uncharted: Fight for Fortune recently appeared on the Australian Ratings Classification Board. The game is published by Sony Computer Entertainment, with One Loop Games listed as the developer.
One Loop Games describes itself as a “cutting-edge, full-service game development studio” with a small, focused team dedicated to creating compelling games. Its portfolio includes titles like Star Wars Episode 3, Full Spectrum Warrior, and The Saboteur for consoles, as well as mobile games such as God of War: Betrayal, Ratchet & Clank: Going Mobile, Spider-Man 3, Wheel of Fortune, and James Bond: Casino Royale. These credits have fueled speculation that Uncharted: Fight for Fortune might be a mobile spin-off, potentially for PS Mobile.
The studio is currently working on two undisclosed projects. One of them, described as their “first big game,” is completed but remains under wraps. They promise it’s something unique and highly enjoyable, with an announcement imminent. Could this be Uncharted: Fight for Fortune?
The second project is still in development, with details to be revealed once progress is made. Regular updates are promised, hinting at an impending announcement.
One Loop was founded by Shalom Mann, a former senior vice president and studio head of Sony Online Entertainment in Los Angeles. His expertise lies in creating games for PlayStation Network, raising the possibility that Uncharted: Fight for Fortune could be a PSN title for both PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.
A quick look at Shalom’s LinkedIn profile reveals that he is “deep in production on an unannounced title for the PlayStation Vita.” Could this be Fight for Fortune? Additionally, he mentions having “additional titles in development for mobile, and XBLA/PSN.”
