Amazon has unveiled several gameplay videos for Crucible, offering a comprehensive glimpse into the workings of its first major in-house developed video game.
Crucible, a free-to-play, team-based PvP shooter, is set to launch on Steam on May 20th. Blending MOBA elements with hero shooter mechanics, players not only battle against each other but also fight AI enemies to gather resources and level up their characters.
The following videos provide an overview of two of the game’s three modes:

In “Heart of the Hives,” two teams of four engage in a fierce competition to defeat hive creatures and secure their hearts. The first team to collect three hearts emerges victorious.

The “Alpha Hunters” mode features eight teams of two hunters battling it out in a last-team-standing match.
Crucible shares similarities with Motiga’s short-lived third-person team-based shooter, Gigantic, and Epic’s canceled third-person MOBA, Paragon. Elements reminiscent of Overwatch can also be found within its gameplay.
