A stunning trailer for a new Cyberpunk 2077 fan film, titled Phoenix Program, has captivated the internet and even earned the admiration of developer CD Projekt Red.
In a tweet from CD Projekt, they shared a glimpse of the film, which features an ensemble of talented cosplayers under the direction of Vi-Dan Tran, the action designer for Marvel’s Shang-Chi.
Though the film doesn’t include Keanu Reeves, it’s easy to mistake the Johnny Silverhand cosplayer for the real deal. With a striking resemblance, he joins the fray, delivering some bone-crushing action. The male V protagonist also bears a remarkable likeness to the character seen in Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay footage.
Unfortunately, production on Phoenix Program has been temporarily halted as the cast observes self-isolation. However, the trailer alone is a testament to the team’s dedication and is definitely worth checking out.
CD Projekt Red plans to unveil more Cyberpunk 2077 updates in June, with the game set to release on September 17th. Additionally, a next-gen version is in the works.
