If you backed Platinum Games’ remaster of The Wonderful 101 and received a blank or invalid code for your Nintendo Switch, don’t fret. Platinum is well aware of the issue. The studio said on Twitter on 8th May that they’ve identified the cause of the problem with The Wonderful 101: Remastered Nintendo Switch codes sent to Kickstarter backers and are working to get the correct codes out properly. They apologize for the inconvenience. The studio has stated that they have identified the cause of the error situation and are taking steps to ensure the codes are distributed correctly. There hasn’t been an update yet on when backers will receive the proper codes, but there’s still time before the game unlocks. Thankfully, there’s still over a week left before the game becomes available, giving plenty of time to preload it. Platinum Games recently delayed the physical release of The Wonderful 101: Remastered due to shipping and distribution issues related to the coronavirus. However, the digital release will still proceed as planned, with the game set to be downloadable on PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC on 19th May in North America and 22nd May in Europe. The crowdfunding campaign for Platinum Games’ The Wonderful 101: Remastered was a huge success. It ended up with a grand total of ¥235,320,528, which is a whopping £1.7 million ($2.2m). The Kickstarter campaign exceeded its £1.16 million ($1.5m) stretch goal within hours, prompting Platinum Games to add even more goals early on.
