Ahead of its grand full launch at the end of this month, Capcom is bestowing upon players an exciting opportunity to embark on a thrilling adventure in the massive Sunbreak expansion of Monster Hunter Rise through an extensive and immersive new demo. This demo is set to make its appearance on Steam and Switch on the 14th of June, tomorrow.
The brand-new demo will offer players the golden chance to delve into Sunbreak’s freshly unveiled jungle setting, a captivating twist on the area initially encountered in 2006’s Monster Hunter 2. This locale comes complete with novel elements and endemic life. Here, players can put their skills and courage to the test as they face off against the flying wyvern Astalos (from Monster Hunter Generations), a formidable Great Izuchi, a Tetranadon, and an exceptionally challenging version of Sunbreak’s flagship monster Malzeno.
It will also enable players to experience Sunbreak’s innovative Switch Skill Swap system, new Silkbind attacks, and a diverse range of helpful tutorials.
In addition to the announcement of the demo, Capcom has unveiled a fresh Sunbreak trailer, providing a first glimpse of the newly confirmed monsters. These include Espinas (from Monster Hunter Frontiers), Gore Magala (the flagship monster of Monster Hunter 4), as well as variants Daimyo Hermitaur and Pyre Rakna-Kadaki.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is set to be released on the 30th of June. Capcom has now tantalizingly hinted at some of the free updates that it will be receiving after its launch. For instance, August will witness the arrival of the mighty Lucent Nargacuga (an occasionally invisible variant of the classic series monster), along with the iconic Forlorn Arena, and other special and rare species monsters.
Meanwhile, autumn holds the promise of additions of rare species and subspecies monsters. And purchasers can look forward to additional updates this “winter” and in 2023.
