UPDATE 13.01PM: Publisher 2K Games has declared that BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea Episode 2 will be accessible on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 starting from March 25.
The second installment will be more extensive than the initial one – as elaborated earlier today – and will bring to a close the storylines of Burial at Sea Episode 1, the main BioShock Infinite game, while offering fresh insights into the original BioShock narrative.
“In Burial at Sea: Episode 2, we are presenting a tale that encompasses nearly every significant character from the original BioShock and BioShock Infinite,” stated Ken Levine, the creative director of Irrational Games. “It is a story that will provide gamers with a novel perspective on the BioShock universe and conclude the narratives of BioShock Infinite and Burial at Sea.”

ORIGINAL STORY 08.35AM: The creator of BioShock Infinite, Ken Levine, has disclosed that the forthcoming second episode of Burial at Sea will be longer than the first.
When queried via Twitter about the length of Episode 2, Levine indicated that a completionist should anticipate “five, perhaps six hours” of content.
Burial at Sea Episode 1 took significantly less time – one could rush through it all in 90 minutes, and expect to explore everything it had to offer with approximately an hour more.

Levine previously justified Episode 1’s length to Eurogamer, explaining it as a choice of “quality over quantity”.
“I believe there are definitely individuals who are like ‘Well, I desire hours and hours of gameplay’,” he remarked. “I think if that is your primary metric, this probably isn’t the right thing for you. If you wish to feel like ‘Wow, I just obtained a completely new experience’ – that’s what you can obtain from this.”
Levine further added that recreating the underwater metropolis of Rapture from the original BioShock within Infinite’s engine proved to be a more time-consuming procedure than initially anticipated, as well as fine-tuning the hybrid combat style that combines elements from both games.
Although there is no launch date yet for Episode 2, Irrational released the initial few minutes in video format last week. Watch it below, but be cautious of spoilers for Episode 1.
