Nicalis is bringing another retro-style platformer to the Nintendo Switch (and PC as well), but this one showcases an aesthetic that is not frequently witnessed. It is crafted to look, sound, and play exactly like a Game Boy title.
Save me Mr Tako: Tasukete Tako-San is quite a long name. It also tells the story of a “pacifist octopus” who, after rescuing a woman from drowning, is bestowed with the ability to survive outside water. He can spurt ink to transform enemies into platforms and wear special hats that confer new capabilities. It looks adorable in every aspect.
The game is slated for release on PC and Switch in the fourth quarter of 2017, courtesy of designer Christophe Galati.
