One particular weapon has a unique god roll due to its archetype, and it doesn’t appear very often. Here’s the god roll for the Undercurrent grenade launcher in Destiny 2.
The Best Perks and Attachments for the Undercurrent in Destiny 2

The Undercurrent belongs to the Wave Frame archetype of grenade launchers, which means the grenades it shoots emit a wave when they hit the ground. This ability damages all enemies in a line, making it excellent for clearing out groups. However, this also means that the iconic build of using Disorienting Grenades, Auto-Loading Holster, and Vorpal Weapon doesn’t work here. Nevertheless, the following build performs quite nicely:
- Launcher Barrel: Quick Launch
- Magazine: High-Velocity Rounds
- Perk 1: Demolitionist
- Perk 2: Voltshot
Quick Launch allows you to fire the Undercurrent’s shots much more quickly, resulting in better weapon readiness and projectile speed for a great combination. High-Velocity Rounds further enhances this, giving you an even faster reload and projectile speed for subsequent shots. Demolitionist creates a seamless flow between recharging your grenade charge, throwing it out, and then repeating the process with a reloaded grenade launcher. And then there’s Voltshot, which greatly enhances the ad clear potential through its jolting effect.
If running a grenade build isn’t your thing, then Ambitious Assassin is a great alternative perk, especially if you can manage to get multiple kills with one grenade. You could also consider using Lead from Gold to significantly improve your ammo economy.
