Amazon’s German division has unveiled a Broken Sword 5: Premium Edition for the PlayStation 4.
The game, which was funded through Kickstarter, previously made its debut on PC, Mac, iOS, Android, and PlayStation Vita. It goes by the name Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse or, in Germany, Baphomets Fluch 5: Der Sunderfall.
This fresh console version, presumably gathering both episodes of the game, is slated for release on June 26th. It remains unknown what additional features might be incorporated.
“The acclaimed adventure series will make its first appearance on the PlayStation 4,” as stated in the Amazon.de listing.
“Broken Sword 5 combines modern classic gameplay with adventure elements – a perfect blend for casual gamers and enthusiasts of traditional adventures.”
As of now, there hasn’t been an official announcement regarding the game’s PS4 launch. However, the listing and its accompanying box art imply that we won’t have to wait for an extended period to learn more.
“It does have its issues, but it’s also questionable whether anyone who adores this series will be overly disappointed with the final outcome,” Dan Whitehead wrote in Eurogamer’s Broken Sword 5 review. “It’s like meeting an old friend for coffee; it’s a pleasure to be relished.”
