Baldur’s Gate 3 offers players the remarkable ability to re-spec their characters and forge “multiclasses”, all with the aim of preventing the need to commence the entire game anew.
This assertion comes from Larian’s Nick Pechenin, who affirmed during a recent livestream that not only will players encounter a character who “enables you to reset your class and reallocate all your levels”, but they can also delve into some truly captivating multiclass combinations.
“Our intention was to spare players from the burden of having to restart the entire game, given its profoundly narrative-driven nature,” Pechenin stated (courtesy of PC Gamer). “There exists a character whom you might encounter – and it’s highly likely that you will – who will permit you to reset your class and reinvest all your levels.”
And what about those enticing “multiclasses”?
“In the realm of multiclassing, a plethora of truly fascinating combinations await, while some pairings may not yield the desired results. We desire for players to genuinely experiment with the possibilities at hand,” Pechenin elaborated. “And the option to re-spec truly facilitates this exploration.”
Baldur’s Gate 3 makes its debut on PC on August 3rd and on PlayStation 5 on September 6th. However, the Xbox version will experience a slightly longer wait due to challenges in ensuring the seamless functionality of split-screen co-op on Xbox Series S.
