Nowadays, if you want to climb the ladder in Clash Royale, using a legendary card is an absolute must. Choosing the right one, though, is perhaps the toughest decision to make as there are some cards that can beautifully complement your deck while others are simply overpowered and you can’t afford to leave them out. S-Tier
Starting with the S-tier, these legendary cards have the highest usage rate in Clash Royale due to their remarkable supportive nature. Remember, you don’t necessarily need all S-tier legendary cards to create a perfect deck; rather, focus on the benefits that a single S-tier legendary card can offer. For instance, Mega Knight and Electro spawn with area-of-effect damage, making them highly versatile against mini-troops.
- The Log
- Electro Wizard
- Mega Knight
A-Tier
The majority of the A-tier cards are the winning conditions, and you shouldn’t hesitate to include them in your deck. However, you shouldn’t use these cards to simply complement others; rather, build your deck around them. These cards will suffice for offense until you opt for a different rarity tank card along with supportive S-Tier legendary cards.
- Lumberjack
- Ram Rider
- Graveyard
- Sparky
B-Tier
The majority of B-Tier cards are excellent at providing support, and you shouldn’t miss having them in your deck. These legendary cards greatly enhance the A-tier cards and are highly effective in battle. The only exception is Lava Hound, which is a tank; however, this card also serves as a complement for cards like Balloon as you can easily gain a significant advantage over your opponent.
- Magic Archer
- Princess
- Bandit
- Fisherman
- Lava Hound
- Inferno Dragon
- Mother Witch
C-Tier
Except for the Miner, players largely underutilize these C-tier cards. However, despite being a win-condition card, Miner is still not capable of taking out an entire crown tower on its own as it has the lowest damage output among all legendary cards. But he still manages to make it to the C-tier because you can deploy him anywhere in the arena without any restrictions. You could keep these C-tier cards in the deck, but if you want to progress further on the ladder, then consider higher-tier cards.
- Miner
- Night Witch
- Phoenix
- Royal Ghost
D-Tier
Not surprisingly, Ice Wizard is the sole card in the D-tier. This card slows down enemy units, but it doesn’t offer any additional benefits. It has the second-lowest damage output among all the legendary cards and will easily perish with a Fireball of the same level.
