With merely over a week remaining until the highly anticipated release of Pokémon Sword and Shield, a torrent of mouthwatering Pokémon information is now trickling out across the internet like a Sobble making its way through the digital landscape.
We shall refrain from delving into the latest – and rather extensive – leaks in great detail. Nevertheless, if for some peculiar reason you do wish to lay your eyes upon them, the information is not difficult to come by – for instance, in this ResetEra thread that meticulously enumerates everything discovered thus far. (It is worthy of note that upon clicking that link, there are no immediate spoilers, and each leak is neatly compartmentalized into sections – thus, if you desire to catch a glimpse of the new Galarian forms but not the entire list of Gen 8 Pokémon, you are in the clear.)
And in the event that you have no desire to catch even a glimpse of any leaks, it would be prudent to click away at this moment and disconnect from the internet for another week.
Intriguingly, this most recent batch of information merely serves as an additional affirmation of the significant Pokémon Sword and Shield leak that emerged earlier this year. The ‘Affleck Leak’ (so named due to the image of Ben Affleck that was posted alongside it) actually traces its roots back to May, when an anonymous 4chan user posted a slew of information that, initially, appeared somewhat far-fetched.
However, with the unveiling of each new trailer, it has become increasingly evident that the Affleck leak was indeed precise – the revelation of Team Yell, for example – and now the most recent leaks are lending further credence to it.
Below lies a screenshot of the original 4chan post – which encompasses details that have now been verified as well as some information that has yet to be officially proclaimed. Hence, scroll down at your own peril (though rest assured, there is only text here, with no leaked images of new Pokémon, as promised).
We are not furnishing a link to this post as it initially attempted to redirect us to the darknet. Evidently, the Pokémon leaks run deep.
Pokémon Sword and Shield is set to be released for the Nintendo Switch on the 15th of November, and these are the sole leaks that I personally wish to be exposed to until then.
