Perrikaryal is a streamer who engages in gaming using a headset that can read electroencephalogram signals (EEG). Earlier this year, she accomplished both Elden Ring and its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Now, this streamer has set her sights on Black Myth: Wukong and is already making quick work of bosses left and right.

So far, Perrikaryal has bested a number of bosses in Black Myth: Wukong, including Lingxuzi and Guangzhi. This playthrough is quite distinct from her Elden Ring sessions. PerriKaryal has configured her headset in such a way that she can control four button inputs through thought, but this game requires a bit more than that. To make up for it, she utilizes eye-tracking for movement and voice control, ensuring that her hands never have to touch a controller or keyboard as she takes on each foe she encounters.
Stop it
It’s highly worthwhile to check out Perrikaryal’s Twitch channel to witness the entire playthrough thus far. I watched a great deal of her Elden Ring gameplay, and it was truly like magic, but the addition of voice control doesn’t detract at all from her Black Myuth: Wukong experience. In fact, it enhances the viewing experience as the audience can better follow along with what the streamer is aiming to achieve at any given moment.
Something Perrikaryal has employed in the past and is doing once again is the gyroscope of her headset. Tilting her head controls her character’s movement, allowing her to free up another button for thought control and making it relatively easy to navigate the game.
Watching how her head moves during a boss fight doesn’t seem out of place at all. When I’m deeply immersed in a game, I move my head in a similar fashion because, in my mind, I am that character. It’s a subtle touch for the viewer but goes a long way, and it’s yet another aspect that the streamer constantly has to think about as she plays. Every time you would move your thumb, she’s moving her entire head while simultaneously maintaining a consistent thought or emotion and keeping her eyes on the screen. All of this, and she might even have to issue a voice command.
Black Myth: Wukong is an incredibly challenging game even with a standard controller, but Perrikaryal brings a new dimension to how she plays it and what her streams consist of. You can see her go through the process of setting up and troubleshooting her controller in every stream because she does it all live.
Authenticity is a part of her brand, which makes perfect sense given what she’s doing. At the time of writing, she still has a significant distance to go in the game, so it’s worth tuning in to her playthrough now so that you can be there when she faces off against the final boss using nothing but her head movements, thoughts, and voice.
