Prison Architect’s brand-new console version is set to be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One in the first half of this year. From the footage presented below, which showcases the game’s Xbox One code running on a PC, it appears that the port is approaching its final stages. In the video beneath, Introversion’s Mark Morris and Chris Delay demonstrate the console edition, along with a designer from Double 11, the British studio responsible for handling the port.
“For many years, players have witnessed Prison Architect grow and develop through an at times rather rocky Early Access process, and now it has reached maturity, evolving into a splendid new management game,” Paul Dean wrote in Eurogamer’s Prison Architect review. “It is intelligent, it is challenging, and it even serves as a commentary on imprisonment and reform within a capitalist culture.”
