ORIGINAL STORY 11.45am UK: With remarkable regularity, Dealabs has divulged the forthcoming PS Plus lineup for August.
The three titles allegedly arriving at the PlayStation’s fresh Essential tier are Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 (PS4/5), Yakuza: Like A Dragon (PS4/5), and Little Nightmares (PS4).
This year, Dealabs has persistently posted the accurate PlayStation Plus titles prior to Sony’s formal declaration each month.
Regarding the titles headed our way, well, Digital Foundry’s John Linneman had the following to say about Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 upon its release: “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is one of the outstanding games of the year, and it’s my personal top pick from Activision throughout the entire console generation”. Truly high acclaim!
Meanwhile, although Malindy did not bestow a Eurogamer badge upon Yakuza: Like a Dragon upon its release, she did commend the game’s “impressive JRPG transformation”.
As an aside, we recently had a brief glimpse of Yakuza 8, where Like a Dragon’s Ichiban Kasuga sports a new look for the upcoming release.
Last but certainly not least on the list is Little Nightmares, to which Eurogamer did grant a Recommended badge. Edwin described it as a “masterpiece of flesh and malice” that can be “quickly enjoyed but leaves a lasting impression”.
We’ll provide an update when Sony makes this list official.
