During Gamescom 2025 held in Cologne, a total of six Mario Kart sets and three Animal Crossing sets are set to be launched on January 1, 2025, promising to kickstart the new year in a splendid manner. LEGO first teased the Mario Kart sets as part of the Mario Day celebration back on March 10, and it has been a rather long and arduous almost six months of waiting for more details.
The six Mario Kart sets not only feature all of Mario’s most renowned and beloved characters along with their instantly recognizable karts but also include buildable and customizable tracks, which will open up a vast realm of variation and possibilities for endless layout designs.

Some of these sets are also designed to incorporate previously released electronic LEGO sets of Princess Peach, Mario, and Luigi, making them not only physically engaging but also digitally interactive. When these figures are placed in the driver’s seat, they will be able to collect coins and scan item boxes.
If your interests lie more with Animal Crossing, you will be delighted to know that three new Animal Crossing LEGO sets are also set to be released on January 1, bringing the total number of sets in the collection to a nice round 10.
As a fan of both Animal Crossing and LEGO, I wholeheartedly adore this collection. Particularly, I am enamored by the relatively low price range and the fact that they are perfectly suited for introducing my young daughter to the wonderful worlds of both Animal Crossing and brick building sets.
The three new sets coming to the collection are as follows:
