“Embark on an enchanting journey at Jonesy’s whimsical chocolate factory!” proclaims the tagline of Jonesy’s Chocolate Factory Experience. Tailored for children aged 3 and above, it promises a delightful blend of fun and exploration. I dedicated a whopping 40GB of my precious SSD space to install Fortnite and set foot in this fantastical chocolate haven.
Indeed, my thoughts still linger on the notorious Willy Wonka Experience that took place in a lackluster-decorated warehouse in Glasgow. Though I didn’t personally attend it in reality, we’ve all been able to vicariously experience it through amusing memes, quotes from frustrated parents, and interviews with the hapless actors who had no inkling of what they were getting into when they signed those contracts.
And now, it finds its way into Fortnite. After giving it a shot myself, I envision that the actual event bore a resemblance to Jonesy’s Chocolate Factory Experience, a Fortnite Creative map crafted by the talented player ImSachiko. With a complimentary jelly bean being generously distributed and children sobbing in the corner, it truly lives up to expectations.
As I touched down in front of Jonesy’s Chocolate Factory Experience, the map appeared deserted. Fortnite hero Jonesy stood at the entrance, extending his arms in a warm welcome. From the exterior, it seemed somewhat dubious, but come on, I’d gone through the hassle of installing Fortnite on my PC, so there was no turning back now. Once I crossed the threshold, I found myself on a bridge that led to seemingly nowhere, frankly. I could already sense that it wouldn’t lead to a magical, whimsical wonderland.

Venturing deeper, I was guided through the “experience” past The Unknown and the forlorn Oompa Loompa doling out jelly beans. At least there’s no one around to scold me for taking far more jelly beans than Jonesy permitted. Beyond the Oompa Loompa lies a group of people wailing in terror as they queue up for their turn on the minuscule bouncy castle. The Unknown claims its victims indiscriminately, be it adults or children.

At the culmination of the “experience,” more children are in tears, which, from what I’ve gathered, is precisely in line with how the entire affair unfolded. I had a somewhat distressing encounter, which is precisely what I was anticipating from this reenactment. And if you, too, wish to subject yourself to this trial, the Island code for Jonesy’s Chocolate Factory Experience is 7154 – 1304 – 0948.
Since its viral sensation, the Glasgow Willy Wonka Experience has been commemorated in numerous other games, including The Sims, Pokémon, and Sea of Thieves.
