10. Munchkin

Going on dungeon adventures, gathering loot, and slaying dragons might seem like serious business, but in Munchkin, it all becomes a hilarious experience. The game’s ridiculous design and goofy artwork work especially well for those who are intimately familiar with fantasy gaming tropes, but can still tickle the funny bones of just about anyone. So don your kneepads of allure and the boots of butt-kicking, equip the unnatural axe extension, and prepare to face the net troll.
9. Cards Against Humanity

This classic raunchy card game may have been played a lot these days, but it still deserves a place on this list. It sparks some of the most ridiculously funny conversations, and the card combinations often deliver comedy that seems to come out of nowhere. The game’s expansions ensure there’s no shortage of obscene nonsense, even for players who have already seen all the classic card combos.
8. Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza

For those looking for a more family-friendly comedy game night, Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza might just be the ticket. Don’t get too distracted by the cute and funny art during the game – you need to pay close attention to what card is played. If that card matches the word the player announces that turn, you need to quickly slap your hand down on the pile before anyone else to claim the cards. There are also some fun extra action cards like the groundhog and the gorilla that will keep you on your toes.
7. UNO Show ‘Em No Mercy

Perhaps the funniest part of classic UNO is frustrating the person sitting next to you and making them pick up a bunch of cards when they thought they were about to win. UNO Show ‘Em No Mercy takes that comical moment and puts it center stage. Instead of drawing four cards, now you can make your neighbor draw 10. Instead of skipping one player, you can skip everyone. It’s so ruthless and nonsensical that it somehow becomes even funnier than ever.
6. One Night Ultimate Werewolf

One Night Ultimate Werewolf is a game of secret roles where one or more of the people in your village are secretly werewolves. Baseless accusations, lying to your friends, and loudly proclaiming your innocence are essential if you want to emerge victorious. It’s easy for anyone to pick up and learn, but the closer the group, the more comical the game becomes.
5. Wavelength

Wavelength doesn’t always have to be a comedy experience, but when it is funny, it’s really funny. One player will have a dial with a needle pointing to a specific location, and everyone else will try to read their mind to find the exact position of the needle. Clues are given using cards with binaries like “dictatorship/democracy” or “not huggable/huggable”, and the clue giver needs to choose a word related to these spectrums that guides the other players in the right direction.
4. Balderdash

Balderdash is a classic board game that’s popular for a good reason – it’s quick, accessible, and endlessly comical. Each round, one player will receive a complex word and its definition, and they have to come up with a fake definition that sounds believable. Then, they read both their own definition and the real one aloud. The other players then have to guess which definition is the real one. Successful bluffs and correct guesses both earn points.
3. Snake Oil

Snake Oil is a party game that pits rival merchants against each other in the Old West. At the beginning of the game, you are dealt a hand of cards with words that you need to combine into a silly yet somehow marketable product. Then, it’s your job to sell your snake oil to the buying player in the round with a 30-second pitch. The game supports up to 10 players, and we’ve noticed that it’s especially fun with more people.
2. Telestrations

Telestrations is like Pictionary but with a significantly more engaging twist. You’ll start by drawing a word as usual, and then pass the drawing to the next player without anyone else seeing it. That person has to guess what it is and then pass their guess to the next player, who in turn draws that guess. It effectively becomes a telephone game with the changes visible in everyone’s silly sketches. Beyond the comedy, it’s also one of the best party board games for adults we’ve ever played.
1. Monikers

Monikers is a hilarious, easy-to-play charades-like card game that almost everyone will enjoy (though we note it’s best for those over 18). You’ll get a hand of cards with famous celebrities, historical figures, and fictional characters. In the first round, you can act and give clues, but you can’t say the actual name on the card. In the second round, you can only say one word. In the third round, it’s all up to your charades skills. Good luck acting out “Donald Trump’s hands”. It’s guaranteed to be insanely funny no matter what, and for that reason, it’s at the top of our list. It’s also perfect for any group size, welcoming anywhere from 4 to 16 players.
