It’s an open secret that grinding for credits in Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is an arduous task. This is a significant reason why numerous players were fuming at EA for implementing paid loot boxes. However, a few ingenious players have discovered methods to outsmart the system, with one technique involving a straightforward rubber band.
Reddit user Lowberg set the ball rolling when he crafted a “progression droid” (a robot) to “ineptly gather credits”. This elaborate invention utilizes what resemble lollipop sticks to press buttons and maneuver the character, enabling them to acquire credits from a match without actively participating and without being kicked from the game for being away from the keyboard (AFK).
But fellow reddit user F0ngen demonstrated that there’s actually a far simpler way to fraudulently obtain credits, using a couple of conventional rubber bands. F0ngen revealed that by attaching a rubber band around each toggle stick and firmly fixing its position to the back of the controller, it achieves the same effect as Lowberg’s robot by keeping the character in motion and avoiding being booted as AFK.
The rubber band trick is an age-old staple employed in games like Oblivion to rapidly enhance a character’s athletics skill. In Battlefront 2, this practice rapidly increases the number of credits players possess to make in-game purchases, without the need to physically engage in any matches.
Although it’s inventive, this practice is a form of skill cheating and unjust to other players. Hence, we do not suggest attempting this at home.
