If you find yourself with some leisure time in the coming week or so, you might be intrigued to learn that The Elder Scrolls Online is currently offering a free play trial to stir your interest before its forthcoming expansion, High Isle.
From this moment until April 26th, players can delve into The Elder Scrolls Online and enjoy a free trial on PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, and Stadia. However, the fine print suggests that the Stadia version is accessible “only in limited regions”, and Xbox players will require Xbox Live Gold to play.
You’ll be granted access to the ESO base game encompassing four classes, 23 story zones, Battlegrounds, and Alliance War PvP, “and beyond”, along with the Morrowind DLC and the Vvardenfell zone. You can even embark on the prologue quest for the upcoming High Isle expansion (thanks, NME).
As is typically the case, any progress made during the trial will be carried forward, and if you’re pleased with what you experience, you can acquire the game and its diverse expansions with some considerable savings.
If you haven’t given ESO a try, our Free Play Event is ongoing until April 26. Continue your adventures after the Free Play Event by pre-purchasing the High Isle Collection and gain immediate access to the base game, all previous Chapters, and High Isle in June. https://t.co/Si3NifOaKx pic.twitter.com/k9Zeo1ywoF
