When it comes to leveling up in WoW: The War Within, it’s a moderately sluggish task. However, there are ways to dramatically accelerate the process if you’re not keen on questing to reach the new level 80 cap. Here’s a fast method for leveling from 70 to 80 in The War Within.

How to Reach Level 80 Fast in WoW: The War Within
It remains to be seen whether this will be changed or even nerfed by Blizzard. But the quickest way to level from 70 to 80 in The War Within is actually quite simple – simply spamming Normal Dungeons one after another through the Dungeon Finder tool. That’s it! Running dungeons offers the highest amount of experience per hour, far exceeding any quest-based leveling methods.
The early dungeons in The War Within are super easy on Normal mode and can be completed extremely quickly. The Rookery, in particular, is one of the fastest dungeons I’ve ever seen introduced in World of Warcraft, and I’ve been playing since its inception. It is the very first dungeon in The War Within, consisting of three bosses and a decent number of trash mobs, but none require any special attention. All the mobs can be easily AOE’d down (including the bosses). It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that it can be completed within five minutes or even less if you have a superb group.

Now, this method is by far the fastest available, but if you’re not a tank or healer, you might find yourself waiting around quite a bit. This is a common issue WoW has always faced. Everyone wants to play as a DPS, but significantly fewer people are willing to be a tank or a healer. So, queuing as a Healer or Tank, if your class allows, will be considerably quicker than not. If your goal is to reach level 80 as soon as possible, you’ll need to avoid playing as a DPS for maximum efficiency. I am a Windwalker Monk player, but I managed to tank my way to 80 in under five hours, thanks to never having to wait for a dungeon group to form.
What Are the Caveats?
The only caveat to this method is that you still need to complete the The War Within campaign to unlock Adventure Mode for faster gearing and the campaign skip for your alt characters. Being at level 80 can make this process feel a bit tedious as there’s nothing really to look forward to while doing it. However, if this doesn’t bother you, feel free to use this method for speedy leveling on your main and alts.
