Sony has declared that additional PS4 video features will be arriving in a firmware update within “the forthcoming weeks”.
A video editor is being incorporated, enabling you to customize videos and screenshots. Moreover, you can transfer them to a USB device by simply pressing Share.
External video recording will be made feasible with the capability to switch off HDCP and capture via HDMI.
The update will allow for the archiving of Twitch broadcasts, and in 720p.
“There’s a great deal more coming in this update as well. So, stay tuned for more – there will be an abundance in the update to thrill everyone,” wrote Sony America’s Scott McCarthy in a PlayStation Blog post.
