Square Enix has announced that Mobius Final Fantasy is set to be released on the App Store and Google Play in Europe on August 3rd.
Mobius Final Fantasy is a free-to-download mobile game featuring in-app purchases. Square Enix describes it as the “first ever console-quality” mobile Final Fantasy title.
It is developed by some of the individuals who are involved in the mainline Final Fantasy series, including producer Yoshinori Kitase and writer Kazushige Nojima (both of whom worked on Final Fantasy 7 and are currently working on the Final Fantasy 7 Remake).
Here is the official description:
The gameplay is presented below. If you pre-register, you will receive Final Fantasy 10-themed items, such as Tidus’ signature weapon, Brotherhood, and a Yuna character card.
You might recall that Mobius Final Fantasy made headlines after Square Enix revealed that they had toned down the outfit of the lead character because he was considered too attractive.
