Nintendo’s company boss Satoru Iwata has disclosed that the firm has garnered over $4 million (£2.6m) from its four fresh StreetPass games.
Iwata divulged the figure to the Japanese news source Tokyo Keizai Online (translated by Siliconera).
Due to the diverse pricing alternatives, it’s challenging to precisely determine the equivalent number of users, yet Iwata had formerly stated that at least 200,000 had made payments.
The downloads, priced at £4.49 each or obtainable together in a bundle for £13.49, became accessible in mid-June through a system update. When accessing the StreetPass app, 3DS owners were notified of their arrival.
3 Only keep the first two images. The four games – the sci-fi shmup StreetPass Squad, the straightforward strategy StreetPass Battle, the horticultural sim StreetPass Garden, and the dungeon crawler StreetPass Mansion – join the existing small-scale offerings of Puzzle Swap and StreetPass Quest.
They are all delightful (though Garden is somewhat slow-paced) and – most crucially – provide access to a significantly expanded array of hats and costumes for your Mii.
