Today, a fresh trailer for Horizon Forbidden West has emerged, presenting the hurdles that players will encounter in its namesake West.
Building upon the events of Horizon Zero Dawn, this sequel once again places players in the role of Aloy. Regrettably for the outcast-turned-Nora-hero, it seems there won’t be a moment to unwind. A lethal plague is now seemingly devastating the land, posing yet another threat to life.
The new trailer from PlayStation discloses that this plague won’t be the sole thing Aloy has to grapple with. The Forbidden West is brimming with challenges for players to surmount, encompassing some Gladiator-esque battles against menacing machines that would even make Ridley Scott impressed – that Slitherfang truly gives me the chills.
Beyond the arena, Aloy will also be able to put her skills to the test in the diverse melee pits found within the settlements of Forbidden West, venture into the wild’s hunting grounds, or undertake salvage contracts to track down rare machines.
