After a lively and good-natured teasing, Gearbox has officially presented the newest installment of its highly adored loot-and-shooter series, Borderlands 3.
Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford and creative director Paul Sage stepped onto the stage at PAX East earlier today to reveal the long-anticipated successor.
The unveiling came in the form of an exciting and action-filled first trailer, providing a rapid tour of some of Borderlands 3’s breathtaking new environments, its charming cast of both new and returning characters, and even a saxophone solo. Well, why not?
Oh, and Gearbox is promising more than a billion guns this time. Including one with legs!
As of now, there’s no mention of the platforms on which Borderlands 3 will be available or even a hint at the release date. However, the YouTube blurb beneath the video indicates that more information will be disclosed on April 3rd. I’ll update this article if any additional details come to light as press releases start spreading across the internet. Otherwise, I guess we’ll all be waiting impatiently until next Wednesday.
