If you’re eager to get a taste of developer Relic Entertainment’s upcoming real-time strategy sequel, Company of Heroes 3, before its February launch, you’re in for a treat! A free playable multiplayer tech test is now live on Steam, offering eight diverse maps.
The multiplayer tech test of Company of Heroes 3 will continue until 6 pm next Monday, January 16th. Its purpose is to assist Relic in testing its “servers and infrastructure on a large scale”.
Players must request access to the tech test through the Company of Heroes 3 Steam page. Once granted access, participants can explore eight different multiplayer maps set in Italy and North Africa. These maps can be enjoyed in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 matches.
Skirmish vs AI, Annihilation Mode, and Custom Games are all at your disposal. Additionally, all four playable factions – Afrika Korps, British Forces, Wehrmacht, and the US Forces – along with twelve Battlegroups, are available.
Relic points out that the multiplayer tech test is primarily targeted at RTS and strategy enthusiasts. However, for those who need to sharpen their skills, the Mission Zero tutorial is accessible if necessary.
Company of Heroes 3 is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on February 23rd, after a slight delay towards the end of last year.
